This is the base publication service for Elevation information in Manitowoc County, WI. Two foot elevation contours were created from five meter interferometric synthetic aperture radar (IFSAR) data licensed for county use from Intermap LLC. The IFSAR system is mounted in an aircraft. The Digital Terrain Model (DTM) used to create contours was derived from the Digital Surface Model (DSM) using a proprietory algorithm. The contours were created by Manitowoc County for overlaying with other digital layers for internal use. We have found them useful for determine slope, but they SHOULD NOT BE USED FOR ACTUAL ELEVATION. |
