“School premises" has the meaning given in s. 948.61 (1) (c), any school building, grounds, recreation area or athletic field or any other property owned, used or operated for school administration. Lists of public and private schools in Manitowoc County were downloaded from the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction website (https://apps6.dpi.wi.gov/SchoolDirectory/Search/PublicDistrictsSearch/ and https://apps6.dpi.wi.gov/SchoolDirectory/Search/PublicDistrictsSearch/). Some of the addresses in the directories list were missing physical addresses, but they were available online. Addresses were then geocoded to create a point feature class.The Manitowoc School District Forest was included. Vacant lots owned by a school district that are adjacent to, but not part of the school grounds, were not included. Colleges are not included. |
